A round box isn’t just a style choice on a jewellery box: it changes how well the item inside actually stays put.
What a round cavity actually does, mechanically
A round cavity grips by centring: cut to a single diameter, it makes contact evenly all the way round whatever sits inside it. That’s the physical reason a ring belongs in one, since a ring is itself a fixed-diameter circle needing exactly that kind of even hold. A small stud or a pair of earrings can share the same format, mounted on a shaped foam disc rather than left in a bare cavity. The mounting does the centring work an empty circle can’t do on its own for a flat-backed piece. A chain or bracelet has no single diameter to centre on at all, and a shape built for centring gives a formless item nowhere to sit, so it simply pools and tangles. Length, not diameter, is what a chain actually needs held, which points straight to a longer, flatter box instead.
Getting the insert right depends on knowing which of these is going in before the cut is made. The finish is a separate layer on top: a ribbon-style opening suits a box built for a gifting moment, while a straightforward hinged lid suits one built for retail shelf display.
Finish and print work the same way as any jewellery format
Foiling, embossing, debossing, and a matte, gloss or soft-touch laminate are all available finish options, alongside offset or digital printing for a retail run’s branding. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method.

Our experience with ACP UK was overall good. They were able to work with our extremely tight timeline and were very responsive and communicative. I will say that there were some things about our final product that we were not happy with, such as creasing of the graphics and images were not full bleed on the cover of our boxes like they were supposed to be. ACP UK was not able to fix the problems on the boxes due to our tight timeline, so we ended up with a product that were were a little less than satisfied with. They offered us a discount on our next order. I think their pricing overall was fair and competitive. We may use them on project in the future again if we are able to see an image of the boxes before they go into full production like we were told that they would do last time.

Thomas has been a delight to work with from start to finish, responding to my many questions and requests. Can the same box handle a ring and a matching pair of earrings together?
Yes, but it needs a combined insert designed for both from the start, not a ring cavity with earrings dropped in beside it. Tell us both pieces are going in the same box and the layout gets built to hold them separately.
Does the ribbon-style opening cost more than a plain lift-off lid?
It's a different finishing step rather than a fixed premium, so the actual difference depends on the rest of the specification. Worth asking for both options priced side by side if budget is a factor.
Is this jewellery box recyclable?
An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally.
What is the minimum order for a Small Round Jewellery Box?
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval.
