Why Brands Order Round Boxes From All Custom Packaging
All Custom Packaging produces custom round boxes in the UK from 100 units per design, with no setup fees and free design support throughout. Every order starts with a free 3D mockup, so you can see exactly how your artwork wraps around the curve before we cut a single sheet of board. Once you approve the design, we produce a physical sample and send you a video of it not just a flat photo so you can check the lid fit, the print wrap and the finish in your hand before the full run goes to print. Production takes 6 to 8 business days after that approval, and delivery anywhere in the UK is free.
A round box does something a square one simply can't: it turns the entire surface into one continuous print, with no corners breaking up the artwork or interrupting a pattern. A label, a logo or a wraparound illustration reads as a single unbroken image all the way round the box, which is exactly why florists, candle brands and luxury gifting lines choose round packaging over anything square or rectangular.
The trade-off is that curves are far less forgiving to manufacture than flat panels. A lid that's out by even a fraction of a millimetre will show on a curve in a way it never would behind the four straight edges of a square box and that's exactly what the sample video is there to catch, before your full run is committed to print.
At 100 units per design, round packaging is realistic for a single seasonal drop a florist's Valentine's week, a candle brand's Christmas limited edition, a jewellery collection's launch box not just a year-round retail line you'd need to commit thousands of units to before you've even seen a sample.
How Round Boxes Are Made
There are three common ways to build a round box, and the right one depends on what's going inside it, how it needs to look, and what you're prepared to pay per unit.
| Construction | Feel | Best for |
| Wrapped rigid | Thick, hat-box weight | Luxury gifting, flowers, keepsakes |
| Spiral-wound tube | Solid cylinder with a push-fit lid | Candles, bottles, gifts |
| Folding round | Lighter, ships flat | Budget rounds and food formats |
Wrapped rigid is built the way a traditional hat box is made: a solid board core wrapped in printed paper, with a separately fitted lid that sits over the base. It has real weight and structure in the hand, which is why it's the default choice for luxury gifting, flower boxes and keepsakes jewellery, rings and earrings in particular sit well in a wrapped rigid box with a foam or velvet insert holding them in place. See Round Rigid Boxes and Round Cardboard Gift Boxes With Lids.
Spiral-wound tube construction builds the box as a single continuous cylinder rather than a wrapped two-piece shell, finished with a push-fit or telescopic lid. It's the natural fit for anything that's already cylindrical candles, bottles, spirits, oils and gift tubes because the packaging shape matches the product shape instead of forcing a round item into a square box. See Paper Tube.
Folding round boxes use lighter board that ships and stores flat until assembled, which keeps both material cost and shipping volume down. They're the practical choice when you need round packaging at volume for food formats or budget retail lines, rather than a display piece built around a single luxury product.
Tell us what you're packing and your price point, and we'll recommend the right construction rather than the most expensive one.

FAQs
What's the minimum order for custom round boxes?
100 units per design low enough to cover a single seasonal or limited-edition run, not just a year-round retail line.
Will I see a sample before my full order is printed?
Yes. Every order gets a free 3D mockup first, then a physical sample with a video so you can check the lid fit, print wrap and finish before we produce the full run.
How long does production take?
6 to 8 business days once you've approved your physical sample, with free delivery anywhere in the UK.
Can round boxes be made eco-friendly or recyclable?
Yes. Kraft rounds use uncoated recyclable board, and our other constructions use recyclable card stock too. Let us know if you need a specific certification or a laminate-free finish and we'll build to that spec.
What sizes and diameters can you make?
Round boxes are made to your product's exact dimensions rather than a fixed size chart. Send us the diameter and height you need or the product itself and we'll confirm what's achievable.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Design support, the 3D mockup and the physical sample are all included, with no setup fee added to your order.
