Corrugated is the box that has to survive the journey. Which one you need comes down to three things: how much it carries and how rough the trip is, the job it does, and the size and shape of what goes in. None of those needs a flute grade to settle.
Single wall or double wall
A single-wall board suits standard retail and light to medium contents. A double-wall board adds a second fluted layer for a heavier load or a rougher, longer journey, which is what Double Wall Corrugated Boxes are for. The board grade is chosen around the filled weight and the handling the box will meet, rather than fixed to a number here. A heavier or fragile load, or a parcel network with a lot of rough handling, is the usual reason to step the wall up.
The box for the job
For posting an online order, E Commerce Corrugated boxes are cut for the parcel network and for the unboxing at the other end. For a house move or storage, Corrugated Cardboard Moving Boxes take repeated packing and stacking. For retail and display, colour and shape carry the look: White Corrugated Boxes and Blue Corrugated Boxes set the tone, and Round Corrugated Boxes break away from the standard square.
Size and shape
The box is built to the product, not to the nearest stock size. 4 x 4 x 36 Tall Corrugated Boxes suit a long, narrow item, 12 x 9 x 2 Corrugated Boxes suit a flat one, and anything in between is die-cut to your own dimensions. Measuring the contents first is what stops a box crushing a light item or letting a heavy one shift.
Printing your brand on corrugated
Corrugated takes print differently from a flat carton. It can be printed directly by digital or flexo, or by mounting a printed liner onto the fluted board for a smoother, fuller result, which Custom Printed Corrugated Boxes cover. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method. The heavier finishes that suit a flat carton are more limited on corrugated, so the design is planned around what the board takes.
Ordering
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. UK delivery is free. There are no setup fees. An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally. Is double wall always the safer choice?
Not always. A single wall carries standard retail and everyday loads at a lower cost, so double wall earns its place on a heavy or fragile item, or a rough journey, rather than by default.
Can I get corrugated in a colour other than plain brown?
Yes. White and blue stock cover a cleaner or bolder look, and a full print takes the box further still. A natural brown board reads a printed colour more softly than a white one, so a bright design is truest on a white board.
Can I reorder the same box later?
Yes. Once a size and specification are approved, a repeat run works from that same setup, so the box stays consistent from one order to the next.
Are corrugated boxes recyclable?
An unlaminated board is generally the easier case, and a heavy laminate or coating changes it. Recyclability comes down to the exact build and the facilities in your area, so it is worth checking locally.
