A standard cereal carton printed in a retro 1970s colour palette and typography, using your own brand artwork rather than any borrowed trademark. Orders start from 100 units.
A 1970s look on a cereal box comes from the print, not from a different box underneath it.
The carton itself is a standard, confirmed structure, built with a tuck-end closure or an auto-lock base depending on the specification. Getting the print to actually read as 1970s comes down to specifics, not a vague mood. Saturated, high-contrast colour pairings do most of the work: burnt orange against avocado green, or mustard yellow against brown, rather than today’s softer pastel palettes. A bold, rounded typeface for the brand name reads as period-accurate where a thin modern sans-serif doesn’t, and a single friendly mascot illustration suits the era better than a busy photographic layout. Offset, digital and screen printing all suit this kind of solid-colour, high-contrast artwork. The mascot or character has to be your own design to print; a genuinely period look comes from those colour, type and illustration choices, not from borrowing an actual cereal brand’s name or character. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method.
Inside and outside printing are both standard on this carton, so the reverse isn’t wasted space by default. A period-style puzzle, a cut-out or a short game printed on the back travels through the same production run as the front artwork rather than needing a separate process. Getting that kind of illustrated detail right on both sides does take more design time than a simple front-only logo job, and that extra design stage is worth flagging early rather than discovering it against a tight deadline.
Orders start from 100 units. Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. There are no setup fees. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.
Blank Cereal Boxes covers genuinely unprinted stock, where no decade styling is wanted at all. A printed carton that doesn’t commit to a specific era belongs on Custom Printed Cereal Boxes instead. Sizing for a single serving rather than a family box, look at Mini Cereal Boxes. Everything else in the range sits under Cereal Boxes.

Clear answers about ordering, artwork, production, materials and delivery.
Illustration generally carries the era better than a photographic layout does, since the period look leans on flat colour and a drawn mascot rather than photographic detail. A heavily stylised, high-contrast photo treatment can still work if the surrounding colour and type choices are doing most of the work.
Once a dieline and artwork file are signed off, we keep them on record and use that same file for any later order. That's matching the approved specification, not promising an identical result every time, since ink, board and coating all carry normal production variation.
An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally.
