Foam Inserts For Boxes

Premium presentation

"Insert" covers two different things, and saying which you mean saves a lot of back-and-forth. One is a physical piece that works with your product inside the box, and it can seat the product, show it, or keep several small ones in order. The other is a printed card that ships in with it, carrying a thank-you, instructions or an offer. Plenty of orders want both, and each is chosen differently.

The insert that holds the product

A die-cut insert seats your product so it does not slide, rattle or knock against its neighbours in transit. It is cut to fit the product's shape and it can hold one item or several in their own places, which is what makes an unboxing look deliberate rather than loose. The material follows the product: a card or paperboard insert suits light and retail items, and a foam insert suits something heavier, sharper or genuinely fragile. Across the range that runs from a plain Raised Bottom Box Inserts lift, through a fitted Vial Box with Inserts or Shoe Box Inserts, to a premium Velvet Pasting Inserts or Luxury Box Inserts finish for a gift-grade presentation. Where an item is better gripped than cradled, a Punch Inserts Packaging cavity is cut to the item's outline so it pushes in and is held by the card itself. That grip suits bottles, vials and slim items that would slide in an open tray.

An insert that shows the product

Not every insert hides what it holds. A Window Die Cut Insert Boxes design frames the product in a die-cut opening, so it is seated and on show at the same time. That suits a retail line that sells on how the product looks, where the window in the insert can line up with a window in the outer box so the item is visible on the shelf without coming loose. It is the choice when the presentation is part of the product, not something to hide away for protection.

The printed card that goes in the box

The other kind of insert carries a message rather than a product. Packaging Insert Cards are printed with a thank-you, a how-to, a discount code or a care note, and they are what turn a plain delivery into something that feels considered. Print runs from a single-colour card to a full design, using offset, digital or screen printing to suit the run. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method.

Keeping small items in order

An insert does not always guard a single product. Cardboard Bin Boxes are open-fronted card bins that hold and reach small items on a bench, counter or shelf, so parts, samples or retail stock stay sorted and easy to pick. They sit alongside the seating inserts as the answer when the job is keeping many small things in order, not holding one product still in transit.

Retail, mailer and the box it sits in

Where the insert is doing shelf or unboxing work, Retail Packaging Inserts and Mailer Inserts are cut for those contexts, and anything outside the standard formats is made to specification as a bespoke Packaging Insert Manufacturer order. An insert is always specified to a box, so if you need the outer box as well, Custom Product Boxes covers that side and the insert is built to fit it.

Ordering

Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. UK delivery is free. There are no setup fees. A card or paperboard insert follows the usual paper-recycling picture, where an unlaminated construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated one; foam is a different recycling case. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally.

Product FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about ordering, artwork, production, materials and delivery.

Can one insert hold several pieces?

Yes. A gift set or a multi-part product can sit in a single insert with a compartment per piece, so it arrives arranged rather than jumbled and nothing shifts into its neighbour. One layout, cut for the whole set.

Foam or card, which insert material?

It comes down to print versus protection. A card or paperboard seat takes branding and works for everyday products; foam gives a cushioned, snug hold for a fragile or heavy item but is not a printing surface. Describe the product and the right one is clear.

Do you make the outer box as well, or only the insert?

Both. An insert is cut to fit a box, so it can be ordered alongside one. If you need the box too, it is specified together so the fit is right first time.

Are insert cards printed with my own branding?

Yes. A printed insert card carries your own artwork, from a single-colour message to a full design, and design support prepares it to the card at no charge.

What is the minimum order for inserts?

Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.
