Standard paper production leaves acidic residues in the finished sheet. Those residues, not time on their own, are what cause ordinary tissue paper to yellow and eventually go brittle. Acid-free tissue paper is made without them, a manufacturing choice rather than a treatment applied afterward. Wrapping something you’re putting away for a while asks more of the paper than wrapping something about to be unwrapped in the next five minutes, which is where that manufacturing choice actually earns its keep.
What acid-free paper can honestly promise, and what it can’t
The paper itself not carrying the acid that causes yellowing is a real, checkable fact about how it’s made. Whether the item wrapped inside stays in good condition depends on more than that: light exposure, humidity and the item’s own material all play a part too, alongside the paper. A supplier claiming their tissue paper alone “prevents” ageing or discolouration outright is promising something no paper, acid-free or not, actually controls on its own.
Printing runs across the sheet for branding, a logo or a repeat pattern, unaffected by the acid-free choice underneath it. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method.

Custom Tissue Paper With Logo covers a specific printed colour or pattern as the priority rather than the acid-free manufacturing choice itself. A4 Tissue Paper already fixes the sheet size, useful when a specification built around your own use isn’t what you’re after. Needing a specific weight above anything else, 18 Gsm Tissue Paper is the closer match.

Our experience with ACP UK was overall good. They were able to work with our extremely tight timeline and were very responsive and communicative. I will say that there were some things about our final product that we were not happy with, such as creasing of the graphics and images were not full bleed on the cover of our boxes like they were supposed to be. ACP UK was not able to fix the problems on the boxes due to our tight timeline, so we ended up with a product that were were a little less than satisfied with. They offered us a discount on our next order. I think their pricing overall was fair and competitive. We may use them on project in the future again if we are able to see an image of the boxes before they go into full production like we were told that they would do last time.

Is acid-free tissue paper the same as archival-quality paper?
The terms overlap but aren't identical. Acid-free describes how this paper is manufactured. Archival quality usually implies a formal standard has been tested and certified against, which isn't something claimed here. If a certified archival standard is a genuine requirement for your use, confirm that at the quote stage before ordering.
Is this the same as "buffered" archival tissue?
Not necessarily. Acid-free only means the paper itself carries no acid. Some archival tissue is also buffered with an alkaline reserve, which suits paper and other plant-based items but isn't recommended for protein-based ones like silk, wool or photographs. Whether buffering is something we can specify for your order is a quote-stage question, not something to assume either way.
Is this tissue paper recyclable?
An unlaminated paper construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally.
What is the minimum order for Acid Free Tissue Paper?
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval.
