A window on a flat box panel and a window on a tube raise different questions, even though both start from the same die-cut idea. A box panel’s rigidity doesn’t depend on staying whole. A tube’s does.
Why window size is a structural question here specifically
A paper tube holds its shape because it’s a continuous, unbroken cylindrical wall. Cutting a window into that wall removes material from the one thing giving the tube its own strength. The more of the tube’s circumference the window takes up, the more that strength is affected, so a narrow strip near the middle of a tall tube behaves very differently from a wide opening spanning most of the way round. Covering that opening with a thin film keeps the product visible while adding a little protection against dust and handling. Leaving it genuinely open keeps the tube down to one material, at the cost of exposing whatever sits behind it directly. Tell us roughly how much of the product you want visible, and which of those two suits you best, and the window gets built against the tube itself instead of a shape lifted from a catalogue.
The base tube itself, round or a two-part telescoping build, follows the same construction already covered on White Cardboard Tube Packaging; a window changes what’s cut into that structure, not the structure itself. Offset, digital and screen printing all apply. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method. Matt and gloss lamination, foil stamping, embossing, debossing and spot UV can all be specified on top of the print.
Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. There are no setup fees. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.

I was assisted by Frank. Overall I had a satisfactory experience, and in the end my boxes turned out really nice. The stock is nice, and Frank was really helpful getting them where they needed to be. The first iterations the boxes were sized wrong, but once we got it figured out and I got the art I requested some samples before moving forward. They printed off some samples, and they were great minus a slight adjustment to the perforation. They made the adjustment and got the final order out and so far I am pleased with the quality, especially for the price. The only thing that would have bumped this up to a 5 star review would have been a little bit quicker overall experience, part of which was my fault.

Does a bigger window weaken the tube more than a small one?
Generally yes, since a wider opening removes more of the continuous wall that gives the tube its shape. That's not a reason to rule out a larger window if showing more of the product matters to you, only a reason to say so upfront, so the build accounts for it properly.
Does the window have to be a plain round or oval shape, or can it follow a custom outline?
It can be cut to a custom outline, not just a round or oval opening, as long as the shape stays within a size the tube's wall can support. A more irregular outline is worth flagging early, since it can affect exactly how much of the surrounding wall stays intact compared with a simple round cut of the same area.
What is the minimum order for Paper Tube Packaging With Window?
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval.
Are these tubes recyclable?
An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification, including whichever window option is chosen, and the facilities available locally.
