A heart shape looks different from a round or square box for an obvious reason, but it also behaves differently on the inside, and that part gets skipped almost everywhere this product is sold.
Why a heart shape needs its own fit answer
Two rounded lobes narrow down into a single point, so an item placed loose inside a heart-shaped box rarely sits centred the way it would in a round or square one. There’s often real space up in the lobes and almost none near the point. A custom die-cut insert can be cut to trace the item’s own outline instead, so it stays exactly where it’s put no matter how the surrounding curve fills out. That’s worth considering here even when it wouldn’t be the first question asked on a simpler shape.
Material, structure and finish
Paperboard, kraft or corrugated construction is available, cut to your size. Offset, digital and screen printing all apply. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method. A gloss or matte laminate, a foil-stamped detail, or an embossed or debossed area is available to add on top of the print.
Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. There are no setup fees. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.

I will say that there were some things about our final product that we were not happy with, such as creasing of the graphics and images were not full bleed on the cover of our boxes like they were supposed to be. ACP UK was not able to fix the problems on the boxes due to our tight timeline, so we ended up with a product that were were a little less than satisfied with. They offered us a discount on our next order. I think their pricing overall was fair and competitive. We may use them on project in the future again if we are able to see an image of the boxes before they go into full production like we were told that they would do last time.

Do I actually need a fitted insert, or does the box hold a single item fine on its own?
It depends on the item. Something that already spans most of the box's width sits reasonably still without one. Anything smaller, especially placed near the point rather than the lobes, is where a fitted insert earns its place, holding it exactly where you want it rather than leaving it free to shift.
Can I use this for chocolates or sweets?
