10 Inch Cake Boxes With Window are built around a round, 10-inch cake, with a display window positioned to show the decoration without touching it. Printed to your own artwork. Orders start from 100 units.
“10 inch” is a cake measurement before it is a box measurement. In cake decorating, it conventionally names the diameter of the cake or its board, not a fixed set of box dimensions, and a box has to be built around that fact rather than assume the two are interchangeable.
A round cake or cake board sold as 10 inch is a real, standard trade size, alongside the more common 6, 8 and 12 inch sizes either side of it. What that figure does not include is anything added on top of it: icing overhang, a decorative border, any lip on the board underneath, or the added height of a second or third tier. A box built to exactly 10 inches across will fit the bare board and nothing else; a real cake almost always needs a little more room on every side than its named size implies.
The wider question of sizing a bakery box from the finished, decorated product rather than the raw baking tin is already worked through in full on White Bakery Boxes With Window. That mechanic applies here too, and is not re-argued from scratch.
A window needs a film patch or a die-cut aperture, and that choice affects both cost and recyclability. On a round cake specifically, where that window sits changes what it actually shows. A top window over a single-tier cake displays the whole decorated surface at once. A side window on a taller or multi-tier cake shows the layering and any side decoration instead. It also sits closer to icing that can smear against film if the internal clearance is too tight, which is exactly why the clearance question above matters for more than just fit.
Offset, digital and screen printing are available, chosen to fit the box’s specification and order size. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method. Matt and gloss lamination, foil stamping, embossing, debossing and spot UV are available, subject to specification.
Design support is free. Our designers work the window placement and any branding around the cake’s own decorated surface rather than a generic box shape. A digital 3D mock-up is free. On a windowed box, it is worth using specifically to check the window sits clear of where the icing actually reaches once the cake is finished. Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free. There are no setup fees.
Food-contact material suitability is confirmed for the specific material before production. Confirming any information printed on the box remains your business’s responsibility, or that of its regulatory adviser.
A square or rectangular cake needs a different starting shape altogether, which is what Square Cake Boxes With Window and 8x8x5 Cake Box With Window are sized around. Stack enough tiers and height, not diameter, becomes the real constraint, which is the problem Extra Tall Cake Box solves. Away from round cakes entirely, a loaf-shaped bake calls for Cardboard Loaf Cake Boxes, and a single slice rather than a whole cake calls for Individual Cake Slice Boxes. Wedding Cake Boxes and Personalised Cake Boxes round out the wider Custom Cake Boxes range for an occasion or a brand.

Not exactly, and this is the single most common sizing mix-up on this product. Measure the cake as it will actually leave the kitchen, iced, decorated and on its board, rather than pulling a figure from the tin or the board's own packaging. That real, finished measurement is what we build the clearance around.
Within reason. It also tends to decide how the box itself opens. A top window usually pairs with a lift-off lid, while a side window more often sits on a wraparound sleeve or a front-opening box. Worth settling both together rather than one at a time.
An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally, and a film window is part of that specification rather than something recycled separately.
