A solid colour covers a bag’s surface and stops there. A stripe has to repeat, and a pattern that repeats has to be specified against where the bag actually folds.
Where a stripe meets the bag’s own construction
A paper bag has a side seam and a gusset fold built into it, and a striped design either carries on across those lines or visibly resets at them. Running direction matters too: a vertical stripe behaves differently at a gusset fold than a horizontal one does, since one crosses the fold and the other runs along it. None of this changes whether the bag can be made. It changes what the artwork needs to account for, and settling that before the design is finalised beats discovering it on the sample.
What carries over from any paper bag
The handle mechanism and its attachment point are specified against what the bag is actually meant to carry, the same load-bearing consideration as on any paper bag. Foil or a metallic finish reads clearly against a bold black-and-white pattern in a way a flat print sometimes doesn’t, worth considering alongside the stripe itself rather than as an afterthought.

Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method. Orders start from 100 units. Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. There are no setup fees. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.

They printed off some samples, and they were great minus a slight adjustment to the perforation. They made the adjustment and got the final order out and so far I am pleased with the quality, especially for the price. The only thing that would have bumped this up to a 5 star review would have been a little bit quicker overall experience, part of which was my fault.

What is the minimum order for Black and White Striped Paper Bags?
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval.
Does the stripe need to line up perfectly at the seam, or is a small mismatch normal?
That's genuinely a design choice, not an automatic outcome either way. Some artwork resets cleanly at the seam on purpose, as a feature; other artwork needs the stripe to read as continuous, and confirming which one before the design is locked avoids a surprise on the sample.
Can the stripes run diagonally instead of straight up and down?
Yes, though a diagonal stripe behaves differently again at the gusset fold than a vertical or horizontal one does, so raising it during the artwork stage matters more than assuming the same repeat works for any direction.
Does a striped design cost more than a solid colour bag?
Not because it's striped specifically. Pricing follows the standard quantity and specification, the same as any print job; a two-colour repeating pattern isn't inherently more expensive than a two-colour solid design.
Are Black and White Striped Paper Bags recyclable?
An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally.
