A white surface shows a crease or a handling mark more readily than kraft’s tinted, more textured stock does. That’s not a flaw to hide, it’s a detail worth planning the specification around.
How long the bag sits before it’s used
A bag printed and used quickly, packed at the counter and handed straight to a customer, rarely needs anything beyond the base stock. A bag that will sit printed in storage for weeks, or pass through several hands, a delivery, a stockroom, a gift-wrap station, before it’s filled, benefits from a protective finish. This is less about which retailer is buying and more about the batch itself. A small print run tied to a single event or launch date usually moves fast enough that the question barely comes up. A larger batch held as ongoing retail stock, restocked from a box over several months, is exactly the case where a few marks a customer never sees can turn into marks a customer does. Gloss lamination deepens the printed colour and adds a wipeable surface, though it can show fingerprints once handled. Matt lamination keeps the glare down for a softer look. Neither is a default option added automatically; both are raised and agreed at the specification stage.
Handles and the order basics
A handle cut as part of the bag’s own board, or a separate wire handle fitted where the contents are heavier, are both available. Choosing between them has nothing to do with whether a finish is added; that stays a separate line on the same specification either way. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method. Orders start from 100 units. Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. There are no setup fees. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.

The first iterations the boxes were sized wrong, but once we got it figured out and I got the art I requested some samples before moving forward. They printed off some samples, and they were great minus a slight adjustment to the perforation. They made the adjustment and got the final order out and so far I am pleased with the quality, especially for the price. The only thing that would have bumped this up to a 5 star review would have been a little bit quicker overall experience, part of which was my fault.

Thomas has been a delight to work with from start to finish, responding to my many questions and requests. He worked well with my graphic designer to get us a gorgeous luxury packaging product for our premium fudge product. Whenever there was an issue, he was there to walk through it with us and ensure it resolved. ETAs were not consistent but when multiple parties are involved in getting the packaging to us I suppose some delays are bound to occur.

What is the minimum order for White Paper Bags?

Will a white bag show marks before it even reaches a customer?
