A takeaway shop reorders pizza boxes every month, adjusting the quantity as trade changes. A wedding order doesn’t work that way. It happens once, against a guest list that is usually not final until the last few weeks, and whatever isn’t used on the night isn’t used again.
What that means for how many to order
Orders start from 100 units. For a wedding under that number, it is worth deciding early if every guest genuinely needs a box, or if it is a late-night option offered to those who want one, since the minimum applies regardless of the final headcount. For a wedding above 100, the guest list simply becomes the order quantity once it is confirmed. Either way, this is a planning question worth having early rather than the week of the wedding, when a courier’s or the register office’s timeline is already fixed and cannot move to match.
Printed to match the day, not a shop’s branding
Matching an existing invitation, table setting or colour scheme is usually the actual reason to specify an exact reference rather than pick from a swatch. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method. Foil stamping and spot UV are the two finishes most often asked for on a names-and-date design. Printing can also go inside the lid itself, so the detail is only seen once a guest opens the box. Paperboard, kraft, corrugated and rigid stock are all available, and corrugated construction is a confirmed option specifically for pizza. A coated or clay-coated face can improve grease resistance where that matters for the venue’s tables and linens, though it is not a guarantee on an uncoated board.

Our experience with ACP UK was overall good. They were able to work with our extremely tight timeline and were very responsive and communicative. I will say that there were some things about our final product that we were not happy with, such as creasing of the graphics and images were not full bleed on the cover of our boxes like they were supposed to be. ACP UK was not able to fix the problems on the boxes due to our tight timeline, so we ended up with a product that were were a little less than satisfied with. They offered us a discount on our next order. I think their pricing overall was fair and competitive. We may use them on project in the future again if we are able to see an image of the boxes before they go into full production like we were told that they would do last time.

We won't know our exact final guest count until close to the wedding. How does that work with the minimum order?
Orders start from 100 units. That applies regardless of headcount, so the practical approach is to order against your realistic maximum once RSVPs are mostly in, rather than waiting for a final number that may never arrive before production needs to start. Tell us your rough range now and the quantity can be confirmed closer to the date, within what the production schedule allows.
Can the inside of the lid be printed, not just the outside?
Yes. A names-and-date design or a short message printed inside the lid is a genuine finishing option, seen only once a guest opens the box rather than sitting alongside the outside design.
What is the minimum order for Wedding Pizza Boxes?
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval.
Are these boxes recyclable?
An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. A coated or grease-resistant finish makes the paper harder to process than a plain uncoated board. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally.
