A round bottle only ever touches a flat surface at one point along its own base. Put it in a box with open space around it and that single point of contact is exactly what lets it rock or roll every time the box is picked up, tilted or set back down.
Why shape does more work than size
A box sized correctly for a bottle’s height and width can still leave that bottle free to shift, since fitting the outer dimensions isn’t the same as constraining the base. A triangular cross-section, a common choice for this exact product, gives a round bottle three fixed edges to rest against instead of open corners to roll into. A snug die-cut insert does the same job inside a standard rectangular box. Either way, the fix is contact points, not overall size.
The material question sits elsewhere
Whether the board needs a lining for the liquid inside is answered directly on Eco Friendly Cosmetic Packaging, not repeated here. On the branding side, a gold foil stamp or an embossed logo tends to suit this product well, subject to specification. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method.

What is the minimum order for Hair Oil Boxes?
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.
Is triangular the only shape that actually holds the bottle steady?No. A plain rectangular box does the same job once it has a fitted insert built around the bottle. Triangular gets you there without a separate insert; a rectangular box gets you there with one.

Can one box design fit a few different bottle heights in the same range?
Not without adjusting the insert or shape for each height. Send over the tallest and shortest bottles in your range and we'll confirm what needs to change between them.
Are these boxes recyclable?
An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally.
Can a hair oil box have a window to show the oil?
Yes. A die-cut window with clear film puts the oil colour on display and leaves the printed panels free for your ingredient claims.
Will the box protect a glass dropper bottle in the post?
Yes. We cut the box to your bottle and add an insert that holds it upright, so the glass and the dropper are protected from knocks in transit.
Do you make boxes for pump bottles as well as droppers?
Yes. Glass, dropper and pump bottles are all cut to size, with an insert shaped to whichever top your bottle uses.
Is kraft suitable for an organic or natural oil brand?
Yes. Kraft suits organic and natural ranges, and a foil logo lifts it if you want a more premium, treatment-style feel.
What is the minimum order and turnaround?

Can a cardboard box still look premium?
Yes. The finish does the work. A matt or soft-touch lamination, spot UV or a touch of foil lifts a cardboard box well beyond the cost of the board.
When should I choose cardboard over rigid?
For everyday ranges, regular-purchase products and anywhere unit cost matters. Rigid suits gift sets, prestige launches and boxes sold on the unboxing.
What products suit a cardboard cosmetic box?
Most of them. Lipsticks, creams, palettes, perfumes and gift sets all work in a folding carton with the right size and insert.
