A single wall paper cup is the plainest cup construction: one layer of board, rolled into a cone and sealed down a side seam. Our single-wall samples come plain white, in solid pastel colours nested in tall stacks, in red and white stripes, and printed all over with a brand’s own graphic. We make them in custom sizes, with lids available.
What single wall is used for
Single-wall cups are the everyday choice for drinks that are poured and drunk without much waiting: water and squash at events, milkshakes and smoothies, samples and tasters, and tea or coffee drunk at the counter or carried a short way. The single wall alone does not decide which drinks a particular cup suits. It depends on the board and the lining chosen inside it, which can be PE, PLA, aqueous or PP, and we confirm what the cup you order is suitable for at quote. If a drink needs a thicker wall to hold, the double-wall and ripple builds are compared on White Paper Cups.
Checking the design with a sleeve on
A card sleeve slid onto a single-wall cup covers a band round its middle, so any print in that band is hidden whenever the sleeve is on. If some of your drinks will go out sleeved and others will not, look at the cup design both ways before approving it. How a logo is set out on a cup’s curve, and where on the wall it sits, is the subject of Paper Cups With Logo. Sleeves can be printed too, as with our Christmas Coffee Cup Sleeves.
These cups hold drinks directly. Food-contact material suitability is confirmed for the specific material before production.

Our experience with ACP UK was overall good. They were able to work with our extremely tight timeline and were very responsive and communicative. I will say that there were some things about our final product that we were not happy with, such as creasing of the graphics and images were not full bleed on the cover of our boxes like they were supposed to be. ACP UK was not able to fix the problems on the boxes due to our tight timeline, so we ended up with a product that were were a little less than satisfied with. They offered us a discount on our next order. I think their pricing overall was fair and competitive. We may use them on project in the future again if we are able to see an image of the boxes before they go into full production like we were told that they would do last time.

What is the minimum order for single wall paper cups?
Orders start from 100 units.
What cup sizes can I get?
Sizes run from small espresso cups up to larger takeaway cups. The exact options sit on each product page and are confirmed on your quote, and Small Paper Cups cover the espresso and taster end.
Can I have the cup in my brand colour, not just a logo?
Yes. Print can be a small logo or a full-colour wrap. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method.
Are the cups recyclable?
The lining that lets a cup hold liquid is also what complicates its recycling, so a printed cup is not a plain-paper item. Its recyclability depends on the exact material and your local facilities, worth checking before you print a recycling claim on the cup.
Are the cups food-safe for drinks?
Food-contact material suitability is confirmed for the specific material before production. Confirming any information printed on the cup remains your business's responsibility, or that of its adviser
