Guitar Shipping Boxes built to control the gap between a wide body and a narrow neck, so movement in transit isn't what does the damage. Orders start from 100 units.
A box cut to fit a guitar’s widest point is, by definition, far wider than the neck running up from that point. That gap is the actual problem.
A guitar’s lower bout sets the box width, and the neck sitting beside it has a lot of empty space on either side unless something fills it. Left open, that space lets the neck shift sideways with every knock and turn the box takes in transit. It’s the repeated sideways movement against an unsupported neck, not one big impact, that snaps a headstock or opens a neck joint. Bracing or a shaped insert positioned specifically along the neck’s length closes that gap and stops the movement at its source. A general cushioning layer round the wider bout solves a separate problem: keeping the body itself from being crushed. Both matter, and they are not the same job.
The guitar’s own travelling condition, bare, in a soft gig bag, or already inside a hard case, changes how much internal bracing the box needs to add on top. Say which one applies before the specification is finalised, so it’s built around the actual item rather than assumed.
Corrugated and double-wall corrugated are both confirmed constructions, the choice sitting on the instrument’s own weight and the journey ahead of it. The outer print surface takes lamination in matt or gloss, plus foiling or a raised, tactile panel wherever the brand mark needs to stand out most. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method.
Orders start from 100 units. Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. There are no setup fees. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.
Two separate materials-based risks on a small, light item, rather than one long structural element needing bracing, is answered instead by Sunglasses Shipping Boxes. Weight concentrated at one end against a fragile flat face elsewhere belongs on 27 Inch iMac Shipping Box. Clear answers about ordering, artwork, production, materials and delivery.
It answers movement specifically, which is the dominant cause of a snapped headstock or an opened neck joint, but that's a narrower claim than sounding safe against anything a parcel network might do to a box. A heavy item loaded on top during handling, for instance, is a separate risk for the outer construction to answer, and bracing the neck was never meant to solve it.
Yes. A guitar travelling bare needs more internal bracing built into the box itself than one already sitting inside a rigid hard case, since the case is doing some of that immobilising work first.
An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally.
