Black hides what’s inside the bag, a genuine reason to choose it on its own. Once a logo goes on top of that black film, though, a separate question opens up: what kind of print actually shows up against it.
Standard print doesn’t show up on black the way it does on a lighter bag
A dark or mid-tone ink that reads perfectly on a clear or white mailer can disappear almost entirely against black film, since there’s no light background left underneath it to create contrast. Getting a logo to actually show requires an opaque ink, usually white or another light colour, laid down specifically to read against the dark film rather than blending into it. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method. That’s a genuinely different print decision from printing the same logo onto a lighter-coloured bag, where the film itself already does most of the contrast work.
Checking the ink before the run, not after
A digital 3D mock-up is free. On a black mailer specifically, that mock-up earns its keep more than on a lighter bag. It’s the point where a colour that looked fine on screen either clearly holds up against black or turns out to need adjusting, ahead of confirming the actual production run. Design support is free. Pulling that in early is worth doing if the artwork itself needs adapting for a dark background rather than just resized.

I was assisted by Frank. Overall I had a satisfactory experience, and in the end my boxes turned out really nice. The stock is nice, and Frank was really helpful getting them where they needed to be. The first iterations the boxes were sized wrong, but once we got it figured out and I got the art I requested some samples before moving forward. They printed off some samples, and they were great minus a slight adjustment to the perforation. They made the adjustment and got the final order out and so far I am pleased with the quality, especially for the price. The only thing that would have bumped this up to a 5 star review would have been a little bit quicker overall experience, part of which was my fault.

I will say that there were some things about our final product that we were not happy with, such as creasing of the graphics and images were not full bleed on the cover of our boxes like they were supposed to be. What is the minimum order for Black Poly Mailers With Logo?
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.
Can I print a multi-colour logo on a black mailer, or only single-colour white?
Multi-colour is possible, but every colour in the design still needs enough opacity to read against the black underneath it, not just the lightest one. Send over the artwork and we'll flag anything that's likely to wash out before the run is confirmed.
Does the ink change how the bag feels, or just how it looks?
Mostly how it looks. A heavier ink lay-down for full opacity can add a very slight texture where the print sits, but it doesn't change the film's own thickness or how the bag seals.
Are Black Poly Mailers With Logo recyclable?
Not through an ordinary kerbside bin, no. A poly mailer is a soft plastic film rather than board, so it needs a dedicated collection route, most commonly a front-of-store drop-off at a larger supermarket. An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative, though that comparison doesn't apply to a plastic film in the same way. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally.
