The liner does the protecting, not the tube
Kraft, cardstock and corrugated shells are printable and structurally sound, but none of them blocks oxygen, moisture or light on their own. That protection comes from a food-grade liner or an inner bag specified for the job, sitting inside the tube shell rather than being a property of the shell itself. Getting freshness protection right means specifying that liner deliberately, not assuming the tube provides it.
Freshly roasted coffee keeps releasing gas
Coffee continues giving off carbon dioxide for days to weeks after roasting, a process tea and most other dry goods don’t share. A fully sealed tube-and-lid construction with no way for that gas to escape can be a genuine practical problem for coffee packed soon after roasting, in a way it simply isn’t for tea or spices. A confirmed one-way degassing valve sits with flexible coffee bag constructions, not a rigid tube; if venting freshly roasted coffee is the priority, that’s worth weighing against the presentation a tube offers.
Food-contact material suitability is confirmed for the specific material before production. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method. Matt and gloss lamination, foil stamping, embossing, debossing and spot UV can each be specified. Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free. There are no setup fees.

First time working with ACP UK, but surprisingly worked out well. They handled the design and I believe I got the packages under 10 days, both times, as promised. I ordered a prototype first, asked them to make changes, and all was implemented well. I've also worked with another company in parallel, that was much slower. The price here is better as well. I don't know where the team operates from but they are doing excellent job!

What is the minimum order for Coffee Tube Packaging?
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.
Does the tube itself keep the coffee fresh?
Not on its own. The shell handles print and structure; keeping oxygen, moisture and light out is down to whatever liner or inner bag gets specified alongside it.
Does specifying a liner change how the outside of the tube can be printed?
No, the two are handled separately. The liner sits inside doing the freshness work, while the outer shell carries the print, finish and any window or cut-out, so choosing one doesn't limit your options on the other.
Is Coffee Tube Packaging recyclable?
An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally
