The product inside a lip gloss box is defined by shine, so it’s worth the box doing some of the same work. A UV coating or foil stamp catches light the way the gloss itself does, which is a small detail most packaging copy skips in favour of generic “eye-catching” language. We build that into the finish choice rather than treating it as decoration.
Fit for a doe-foot wand
Most lip gloss uses a doe-foot applicator on a slim tube, a different shape to both a lipstick bullet and a liquid lipstick’s narrower wand. Structurally, that means the box needs enough width for the applicator head without leaving the tube loose to rattle. Tuck end, sleeve, drawer and double wall tray-and-lid styles are all available depending on how the box needs to present and open.
