Search this term and the suppliers cannot agree whose birthday it is. One writes the whole page as if a birthday only ever belongs to a child. Another lists it as a single line, notes the box suits “all ages”, and leaves the thought there. A third names the occasion once and describes a plain box that would suit anything. A birthday is not an age, and that is the first thing worth getting right.
A birthday belongs to any age
A first birthday, an eighteenth, a thirtieth and a ninetieth are all the same occasion, and largely the same box. What changes between them is the age and the name printed on it, not the structure underneath. So this page is about the occasion, whoever it is for. Where the recipient is specifically a child, the size and the way the box stands up to being carried start to matter. Kids Party Food Boxes goes into that properly. What actually makes it a birthday box
An age and a name. That is the personalisation particular to a birthday, the way a pastel palette is particular to Easter. A number and a person turn a generic party box into this one’s box. Free design support sets the age, name or theme onto the box dimensions and dieline. The free digital 3D mock-up then shows the age and name laid onto the actual box, so you can check them before a full run is printed.
Keep the brief simple: an age, a name, a colour or a theme, and it works reliably. A specific licensed cartoon or film character sits outside that, because we cannot promise it as a standing option on a bespoke order, so raise it early. A standard birthday look, or a theme built from scratch
A birthday is the one occasion where a standard look, meaning an age, a name and a colour, often covers what a buyer needs, and that makes it quicker than designing a theme from nothing. It is still made to order, on the same minimum and production time as any custom order, not pulled off a shelf. Two things send a buyer the other way: wanting a fully bespoke theme, or needing the box to hold several foods in their own compartments. For either, Party Food Boxes covers designing artwork from scratch and the die-cut inserts that keep a mixed spread from sliding together.
Once the box is packed, food touches the board directly. Food-contact material suitability is confirmed for the specific material before production. Orders start from 100 units. Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free. There are no setup fees.
An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally. I was assisted by Frank. Overall I had a satisfactory experience, and in the end my boxes turned out really nice. The stock is nice, and Frank was really helpful getting them where they needed to be. The first iterations the boxes were sized wrong, but once we got it figured out and I got the art I requested some samples before moving forward. They printed off some samples, and they were great minus a slight adjustment to the perforation. They made the adjustment and got the final order out and so far I am pleased with the quality, especially for the price. The only thing that would have bumped this up to a 5 star review would have been a little bit quicker overall experience, part of which was my fault.

Is this only for children's birthdays?
No. It is built around the birthday occasion at any age, from a first birthday to a ninetieth. The same box carries an eighteenth or a fiftieth just as well, and only the age and name on it change. If the guest of honour is specifically a child, Kids Party Food Boxes covers the sizing and handling that follow from that.
Does every box have to show the same age and name?
For a single birthday, the same age and name usually run across the whole order. If you need more than one version in one run, a joint birthday with two ages for example, tell us at quote stage, because it changes how the artwork is set up.
Can I have a specific cartoon or film character on the box?
A licensed character is not something we can promise as a standard bespoke option, so ask us first. If a licensed theme is the main idea, preset pages such as Batman Party Food Boxes already exist for it.
Can you match my party's colour scheme?
Yes. Colour is set in CMYK, or to Pantone references, so it stays close to your theme. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method.
What is the minimum order for birthday party food boxes?
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.
