A cookie box and a biscuit box can look identical on the outside. What they are actually protecting against is opposite.
Why a cookie box works differently from a biscuit box
Freshness for a cookie is about moisture staying where it is. A soft, chewy cookie holds moisture that wants to escape into the drier air around it, and once it does, the cookie goes hard. That drying out, not breakage, is usually what ruins it. A crisp biscuit has the reverse problem: it holds almost no moisture and needs to keep the surrounding air from getting in and softening it. Biscuit Packaging Boxes is built around that second goal. This page is built around the first.
“Cookie” itself covers a range, from a dense, chewy bake at one end to a crunchier, drier one closer to a biscuit at the other. Where a given recipe sits on that line decides how hard the packaging has to work to hold its moisture in. The lever for that is the surface finish. Lamination and coating choices are selected with the moisture direction in mind, since a biscuit box’s finish is chosen to do the opposite even where the two boxes look alike. What the finish cannot do is promise a number: the direction the packaging works in is real and controllable, but a specific count of days of freshness is not something any material combination can confirm in advance. A high-fat, buttery cookie can also mark plain, uncoated board over time, which is a further reason the surface is chosen deliberately rather than left bare.
Choosing between window, gable, tuck-end and drawer styles
The structure is a merchandising choice, driven by how the cookies are sold, since a soft and a crisp bake can share the same shape. A window box shows the cookies off before the box is opened, which suits a bakery counter or a retail shelf. Where the bake is moisture-sensitive, the window is a break in the board, so how it is filmed and placed matters more than it would on a dry product. A gable box suits a gift or a small batch handed over directly. A standard tuck-end carton gives the straightforward, economical enclosed option for a plain retail pack. A drawer format works well for a stacked, uniform set meant to be revealed rather than tipped out. Die-cut inserts hold individual cookies in a fixed position, which both stops them sliding into each other and keeps a stacked set from crumbling in transit.

They made the adjustment and got the final order out and so far I am pleased with the quality, especially for the price. The only thing that would have bumped this up to a 5 star review would have been a little bit quicker overall experience, part of which was my fault.

This is the first time I have used this company, Thomas assisted me with answering queries and the design of the personalised boxes I was after. Thomas was helpful and knowledgeable and very accommodating in changing design details, always responding quickly with a new version to review. Thomas is very eager to help make sure your packaging is right for you. Sometimes a little too eager chasing for decisions but at least you know someone is handling your enquiry and its not sitting on the bottom of a pile being ignored as I've had experience of elsewhere.
