“Empty” on this page means ready-to-go stock, and it’s a genuine, confirmed option, not just a wider-market term ACP happens to use. Two real choices sit under it, plus a third if neither is actually what you’re picturing.
Genuinely blank, unprinted stock
If nothing on the box at all is what you want, that’s a real, available option, separate from a custom print run, built on the same tuck-end or auto-lock hinged tray as the custom-printed line. It carries no different commercial terms from a custom order. Exact sizing and any pricing difference against a custom run are confirmed at quote stage rather than fixed in advance, since neither has been set as a standing published figure. Design support is free even for a blank order. A digital 3D mock-up can still confirm the box style and size before you commit, even without any artwork involved.
A pre-made, ready-to-ship design
If a fully bespoke print run isn’t necessary but genuinely blank isn’t quite right either, a pre-made, ready-to-ship design is the middle option: the same tuck-end or auto-lock construction, with a design already prepared rather than built from your own artwork from scratch. It shares the same terms as the blank and custom options, not a different commercial arrangement. Free design support applies here too. The free 3D mock-up is useful for confirming how the ready-made design actually looks on the box you’re ordering.

One more reading worth clearing up
A macaron box sold “empty” can also just mean sold without macarons inside, ready for your own branding. That’s what every ACP macaron box already is by default, custom-printed or ready-to-go. If that’s what you meant, Macaron Boxes is the page built around it.

An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally.

I will say that there were some things about our final product that we were not happy with, such as creasing of the graphics and images were not full bleed on the cover of our boxes like they were supposed to be. Can I order genuinely blank, unprinted macaron boxes?
Yes. It's a real, confirmed option, separate from a custom print run. Neither the exact sizing nor any price difference against a custom order has a standing published figure yet, so both get confirmed when you get a quote.
Is a ready-made design available if I don't want to submit my own artwork?
Yes, as a separate option from both the blank and the fully custom routes. Tell us at quote stage and we'll take it from there.
Does "empty" mean the box comes without macarons inside?
That's a separate, valid reading too. Every ACP macaron box ships without macarons inside as standard, whichever of the three options you choose.
Is the minimum order different for blank or ready-made stock compared to a custom order?
No. All three options share the same 100-unit minimum and 6 to 8 business day production time.
Does free design support apply if I'm ordering blank stock?
Yes. Our team can still help confirm box style and size and show you a 3D mock-up before you commit, even without any artwork involved.
