This name actually covers two separate questions, and they don’t always travel together. One question is the shape: a die-cut fruit silhouette, or a standard shape carrying fruit branding. The other is what’s actually holding the juice: the board itself, or a separate bottle doing that job instead. A shaped box and a standard box can both need the same answer to the second question, so it’s worth treating them as two decisions.
Does the box hold the juice, or does something else?
This is the question that actually shapes the spec. If juice goes straight into the carton and gets poured, sipped through a straw or drunk directly from it, the board itself is the liquid vessel, cut to a fruit shape or left as a standard one. If a bottle or pouch is already doing that job and this box’s role is presentation, gifting or shelf standout, the board never touches the liquid at all. Tell us which one applies and the rest of the spec follows from there.
The fruit shape is a separate decision
Die-cutting to a fruit silhouette, an apple, an orange, a strawberry, whatever fits the brand, is a confirmed ACP capability, cut to the dimensions the design calls for. It works the same way on a direct-contact carton or a presentation box. A standard shape with fruit-themed printing suits either just as well.
Holding the juice is the part worth confirming properly
Paperboard doesn’t hold liquid on its own. Where the box is the liquid vessel, whatever its shape, it needs an inner lining or coating that actually stops the juice soaking through or leaking out. ACP hasn’t published a standing specification for that lining as part of this product, so it isn’t something to assume is included by default. It’s a genuine, solvable question, confirmed against what you’re actually filling and how at quote stage.
Where responsibility for the juice sits
Where the board holds the juice directly, food-contact material suitability is confirmed for the specific material before production. Where a separate bottle or pouch is doing that job, the artwork layout can reserve clear panels for the information the product is required to display, though the brand or its regulatory adviser remains responsible for confirming that information is accurate and complete.
Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. It’s the clearest way to see your shape, branding and closure together before a full run is committed. Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free. There are no setup fees.
An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. A liquid-safe inner lining changes that for the direct-contact version, since a bonded barrier layer is harder for many facilities to separate from the board than a straightforward coating is. Our experience with ACP UK was overall good. They were able to work with our extremely tight timeline and were very responsive and communicative. I will say that there were some things about our final product that we were not happy with, such as creasing of the graphics and images were not full bleed on the cover of our boxes like they were supposed to be. ACP UK was not able to fix the problems on the boxes due to our tight timeline, so we ended up with a product that were were a little less than satisfied with. They offered us a discount on our next order. I think their pricing overall was fair and competitive. We may use them on project in the future again if we are able to see an image of the boxes before they go into full production like we were told that they would do last time.

Is this a box shaped like a fruit, or a box with fruit printed on it?
Could be either, and it's a separate question from how it holds the juice. Die-cut fruit shapes and standard shapes with fruit branding are both available. Which one you pick is a presentation choice, and it doesn't decide the lining question on its own.
Can the box actually hold juice without a lining?
Not reliably, no. Paperboard on its own isn't liquid-safe. Wherever the board is the liquid vessel, shaped or standard, it needs an inner lining or coating, specified once we know what you're filling and roughly how it's served.
What shapes are possible?
Die-cutting to a fruit silhouette, apple, orange, strawberry or another shape entirely, is a confirmed capability, cut to whatever dimensions the design needs.
If a separate bottle is holding the juice, does the same food-contact question apply to the box?
No, not in the same way. When a separate bottle is holding the juice, the box's own material never comes into contact with it. The print-space and labelling question becomes the relevant one instead.
What is the minimum order for fruit shaped juice boxes?
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.
