Custom round macaron boxes printed to your brand, built as a two-piece, lift-off-lid box with a circular insert rather than a flat tray. Orders start from 100 units.
Most macaron boxes are a flat tray with a row of cavities, hinged at one edge so the lid folds back. Round boxes are built on a completely different base instead: two separate pieces, with a lid that comes fully away rather than staying attached. Everything downstream, from how the insert is cut to how the box packs into a shipping carton, follows from that one construction choice.
Because the lid comes away completely, there’s no hinge holding it roughly in place while you close it, the way a flip-top box has. The fit between lid and base is what keeps everything secure once closed, so it’s worth specifying properly for the exact box you’re ordering.
Standard tray inserts hold macarons in a straight line, simple to cut and simple to fill. Arranging the same cavities radially around a circular base is a different die-cutting job entirely, before the macaron count even changes anything. Getting the spacing right matters more here than in a rectangular tray, since a macaron sitting loose in a curved cavity has more room to roll than one boxed into a straight-sided pocket. Round boxes work just as well for a handful of macarons in a small gift tin as for a fuller box built for a bigger occasion; only the insert layout changes between the two.
Rectangular boxes pack edge to edge with almost no wasted space in a shipping carton. Cylinders don’t tessellate the same way. Whatever gap is left between the round boxes and the corners of a square carton is either wasted space or padding, and that’s just geometry, true for every supplier making a round box. It’s worth knowing before choosing round purely for the look, if shipping volume is a real cost factor for the order.
Board and coating can be selected to suit direct or indirect food contact depending on the specification. Food-contact material suitability is confirmed for the specific material before production. Allergen and nutritional labelling stays your business’s responsibility.
Adding a window to the lid lets a customer see the macarons before buying, which matters more for retail display than a delivered gift order. Skipping the window keeps the lid fully sealed instead, and a coating can be chosen with the macarons’ shorter shelf life in mind, though no coating stops a macaron drying out indefinitely once the lid is off.
Orders start from 100 units. Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free, so you can see the insert layout and lid fit before anything goes to print. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free. There are no setup fees. An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Two-piece rigid boxes are usually a wrapped construction, a paper outer layer over a board core, which can affect how straightforward the recycling is, so it’s worth checking with us about the specification you’re considering.
Most everyday macaron orders suit a flat tray better than a round tin, and Macaron Boxes is the starting point for that format. Where a display window matters more than the two-piece lid described here, Macaron Boxes With Window fits better. This range sits inside the wider Custom Food Boxes selection alongside every other format we make.

Clear answers about ordering, artwork, production, materials and delivery.
Mainly the construction. A standard box opens on a hinge built into a flat tray; a round one usually comes apart into two separate pieces instead, base and lid. That single difference changes the insert shape and how many fit in a shipping carton.
Diameter and insert layout are the two variables, and neither has a fixed answer across every round box we make. Share your usual count when you get in touch and the insert gets sized around it.
Choosing a coating with that in mind helps at the margins, but how long the lid stays off matters more than any material choice. If drying out is a real concern, keeping the display or handling window short is the bigger lever.

Yes. It's worth weighing against a fully sealed lid, since every added window is one less continuous surface protecting what's inside.
