Vans, kiosks and scoop counters get through cone sleeves by the thousand, in a way a waffle-cone specialist selling a smaller number of bigger treats never quite does. What that volume actually changes is how much a consistent colour and print matter run after run, since the same design has to look right on batch one and batch fifty alike.
Cold hands and melting scoops are two different problems
Cold and wet is what a bare cone becomes almost immediately once a scoop sits on top of it, and a sleeve exists to keep that off the hand holding it, catching drips along the way. Melt speed runs on a separate clock. What actually sets that pace is how warm the air is and how long the scoop sits in it before anyone eats it. A wrap lower down the cone barely factors into that equation.
Standard does not mean one size
A sugar or cake cone is not a single fixed size even before a waffle cone enters the comparison. A small single-scoop cone and a larger everyday cone both count as standard, and the sleeve has to be cut to whichever one you actually use. Send us the cone you are working with, or a sample if you have one, and we cut the sleeve to match it rather than guessing at a generic taper.
Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. It shows the branding and the fit together on your actual cone shape, ahead of the full print run. Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free. There are no setup fees.
Branding built to survive being handled
A sleeve handled by a customer at a counter or a van window gets gripped, turned and occasionally squeezed, so the print needs to hold up to that rather than just look good sitting flat. Offset, digital and screen printing are available depending on the specification, and colour is managed against your Pantone or CMYK reference, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen paper, ink, coating and production method.
Why the sleeve’s material choice actually matters
The sleeve sits directly against the cone, unlike packaging that never touches what it holds, so material choice carries real weight here. Food-contact material suitability is confirmed for the specific material before production. Any allergen or nutritional information about the ice cream itself stays your business’s responsibility.
A wider cone or a different format entirely
A noticeably wider mouth than a standard cone needs Waffle Cone Paper Sleeves, sized for that shape specifically rather than this page’s standard fit. Packing a tub or a multi-pack instead of a single served cone is a different job again, and Cardboard Ice Cream Boxes is built for that.
An unlaminated or lightly coated paper may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full specification and the facilities available locally. Our experience with ACP UK was overall good. They were able to work with our extremely tight timeline and were very responsive and communicative. I will say that there were some things about our final product that we were not happy with, such as creasing of the graphics and images were not full bleed on the cover of our boxes like they were supposed to be. ACP UK was not able to fix the problems on the boxes due to our tight timeline, so we ended up with a product that were were a little less than satisfied with. They offered us a discount on our next order. I think their pricing overall was fair and competitive. We may use them on project in the future again if we are able to see an image of the boxes before they go into full production like we were told that they would do last time.

Will one sleeve size fit every cone?
No. Even leaving waffle cones aside, a small cone and a larger everyday one both count as standard, and the sleeve is cut to whichever you actually use. Tell us your cone size, or send a sample, so we can match the cut to it.
Does the sleeve stop the ice cream melting?
Not much on its own, no. Hand protection and drip control are what it actually does. Room air and time out of the freezer do most of the work on melt speed, sleeve or no sleeve.
Can we print our logo and colours on every sleeve?
Yes. Your logo and colours print straight onto the sleeve itself, managed against your Pantone or CMYK reference, subject to the normal variation any paper, ink and finish combination introduces.
We serve a high volume through a van or kiosk. Does that change anything?
Mainly how much a consistent colour and design matter across a long run: something that has to look the same on batch one and batch fifty carries more weight than a one-off order does. The sleeve is sized and made the same way regardless of volume, but that repeat-order consistency is worth flagging at quote stage.
