8 oz is the small one. When a Chinese order goes out, it is the container for the part of the meal that is a single small portion, not the main event. If a box has to carry a full sharing helping, this is not the size for it.
What the 8 oz size is for
The value is in not over-sizing a small order. It holds a side without swimming in empty space, and keeps a small portion looking deliberate rather than lost in a container built for a main. Picking it is really a portion decision, so tell us roughly what goes in and we will confirm the 8 oz suits it before anything is printed.
The pail it is, and the range it belongs to
The 8 oz is the classic fold-top oyster pail at its smallest, closing on folded flaps instead of a lid. How that closure behaves, and how to coat it for anything warm or saucy, is worked through in full on Personalised Noodle Boxes; the 8 oz simply holds less of the same thing. It also rarely travels alone. Most Chinese orders leave as several sizes in one bag, and Chinese Food Boxes covers choosing the small size alongside the larger ones so the set travels well.
Food-contact material suitability is confirmed for the specific material before production. Orders start from 100 units. Design support is free. A digital 3D mock-up is free. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free. There are no setup fees. An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Our experience with ACP UK was overall good. They were able to work with our extremely tight timeline and were very responsive and communicative. I will say that there were some things about our final product that we were not happy with, such as creasing of the graphics and images were not full bleed on the cover of our boxes like they were supposed to be. ACP UK was not able to fix the problems on the boxes due to our tight timeline, so we ended up with a product that were were a little less than satisfied with. They offered us a discount on our next order. I think their pricing overall was fair and competitive. We may use them on project in the future again if we are able to see an image of the boxes before they go into full production like we were told that they would do last time.

What actually fits in an 8 oz box?
A portion of rice, a starter, a spring roll or two, or a dip for the table. It is the size for the extras around a meal rather than the meal itself.
Which size should I pick for a main or a sharing portion?
A larger one, since 8 oz is the small end of the ladder. Chinese Food Boxes is where the whole set is specified, so the small and large sizes are planned together as one order.
Does the 8 oz close with a fold-top lid?

Can it hold something warm or saucy?

What is the minimum order for 8 oz Chinese take out boxes?
Orders start from 100 units. Standard production takes 6 to 8 business days after approval. UK delivery is free.
