“Printed” covers a wide range. At one end sits a single colour mark on plain stock. At the other sits a fully wrapped, edge-to-edge design covering every visible surface. Most orders land somewhere between the two, and this page is built for the buyer who has not settled where yet.
From a single mark to a full wrap
A single-colour or two-colour mark keeps setup simple and suits a tight budget or a fast turnaround. A full design covering the whole box costs more to set up, and it brings the print method into the decision. Offset, digital and screen printing each suit a different mix of run length and colour complexity. The same artwork can be the cheaper choice one way at a thousand units and another at a hundred. Between those two ends sits everything else: a two-tone scheme, a printed interior, a highlight lifted out of an otherwise plain face. None of it is fixed until the artwork is laid against the dieline, which is what design support does before anything is committed. Whatever level an order lands on, the job on our side is the same: turning the brief into a producible dieline and a print specification you sign off before the run.
Getting a brand colour to hold
Where a brand colour has to land exactly, it is worked in CMYK or against a Pantone reference. Pantone references and CMYK values can be used to manage colour consistency, subject to normal variation caused by the chosen board, ink, coating and production method. A kraft or unbleached board shifts a printed colour more than a white coated one does, so the same reference can read differently depending on the stock underneath it. That is worth settling on the mock-up rather than discovering on the finished run.
What the finish does to the design
The finish is part of the design decision, not a step bolted on after it. Matt lamination flattens and softens the look; gloss deepens colour and lifts contrast; a spot UV highlight needs a matt surround to read against, so it is planned into the artwork up front, not tacked on at the end. The finishing options here run to lamination, foil, embossing and debossing, and spot UV, with what is available set by the box style, the board, the quantity and the print process. The heavier the finish, the more it bears on both the print and, later, the recyclability, so the look and the practical side are worth weighing together.
Choosing a box style for what’s inside
This page does not commit to one box style, because the right one depends on what is going inside it. ACP’s structural range includes tuck-end cartons, auto-lock bases and drawer-style boxes, each suited to a different mix of weight, fragility and handling. A dry, stable item usually sits comfortably in a straightforward tuck-end or an auto-lock base; a liquid, sauce-heavy or delicate item usually needs a sturdier structure or a fitted insert cut to its own dimensions. Board grade and thickness are selected around the product’s dimensions, weight and the protection it needs.
Food-contact material suitability is confirmed for the specific material before production. The artwork layout can reserve clear panels for the information the product is required to display, but the brand or its regulatory adviser remains responsible for confirming the accuracy and completeness of that information. An unlaminated paperboard construction may be easier to process through suitable paper-recycling streams than a heavily laminated alternative. Final recyclability depends on the full material and finishing specification and the facilities available locally.

Should I start with a logo print or go fully custom?
